Jewellery For Your Coffee Table

I know it's not necessarily practical but I totally love beautiful coffee table vignettes. I say, the more details and embellishments on the table the better. Who cares if there is no room for your laptop, your coffee or (who are we kidding) your feet? So what is it that makes the perfect coffee table vignette? Let's take a peek.

Here is what I spy:
  • Lots and lots of books. You can never collect too many beautiful books!
  • Trays to corral your items in groupings.
  • Interesting, pretty objects
  • Candles
  • Fresh flowers complete the look. It just doesn't seem right without them!
Styling a vignette on any piece of furniture is a real art. Some people are just good at it. I struggle but at the same time, I find it really fun. For me, the easiest way is to lay out all the things that could work then play around with groupings and placement. It sometimes takes several tries but eventually you get it right!

I'm still working on mine. I must say, I was really unsure of my coffee table when I painted it white. But as I add accessories, it seems to be growing on me! Must be something about my love of white with pops of color!

  1. Great pictures...I have been trying to get the hang of the vignette thing. Also, love the couch in the 3rd picture down.

  4. Love your inspiration pictures. I have an ottoman, so I decorated some shelves the same way I would a coffee table.

  5. These are all fabulous!

I'm so torn when it comes to coffee table decor. Obviously I like pretty, but I always strive for practical design too. (My feet DO need to go somewhere!)

Still working on the styling of my own, but I think I'll end up going simpler.

  7. All beautiful and inspirational images! My favorites are #1, #7, #8 and #9. Like what Cassie said, once you got kids, it's hard to pretty up the coffee table because kids grab stuff! Sigh...

I wish I have a beautiful coffee table vignette!

  9. The problem when you have kids is that they don't see this as styling so they think they can throw all their junk on top of the table which makes for one mountain of mess! Love all the pretty images though.

  10. So pretty! Really makes me want to style my coffee table like this, then I remember I have 3 roommates who would push it all off to make room for their feet. haha!

  12. These are gorgeous vignettes. I have zero ability to accomplish this myself. Mine seem to just get smother with kid stuff. Sigh.

  14. Sigh. I wish. My coffee table has nothing on it these days. My 1 year old eats everything. Someday though. These tables were all lovely - styled so well. Thanks for the great round up.
