I'm back! I took a day off from blogging yesterday. I'm fighting a terrible sinus infection which has rendered me lifeless the last few days. I finally bit the bullet and headed to the doctor. A couple of doses of antibiotics and I'm finally feeling on the mend. Thank goodness!
Remember when I made
these for
my bedroom?

Sorry for the flash! |
I made 2 for the room and this one felt a little skimpy on the sides. Not only did the sunlight steam in but it looked a bit off. Nothing a little grosgrain trim couldn't fix! Both shades got some black ribbon down each side. Of course I just glued it on (fabric glue is a dear friend). I think it looks so much better!

annoying.. just noticed that I need to re glue the top on one side! |
And here is a little pop of spring for your Wednesday! My mom organizes the local daffodil sales for the Canadian Cancer Society and she gave me a bouquet. They just opened up today and bring a pop of color to the dining room:)
I'll be back tomorrow with another guest in my Trois Amour Series!
Your shade looks great! I love it with the trim
ReplyDeleteThat ribbon just completes your shade. Perfect! Love your daffies:)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better. I love the small change to the shade.
ReplyDeleteLove the added ribbon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better! That ribbon trim really finishes the look. As always--well done!

Wow - that looks so great!
ReplyDeleteI know how you fell, I am fighting a sinus infection myself. As much as I love Spring, its sure does not love me!
ReplyDeleteI love the addition of the ribbon. Its amazing how the little details bring out the best of...anything!
Hope you are better soon! Medicine sometimes is a must....love the ribbon! It is a perfect addition to perfect shades!!!
ReplyDeleteYour shade looks great and glad to hear you are on the mend- sinus infections stink. I always look forward to those daffodils every year:)
ReplyDeleteSinus infections are the WORST! I had one that rendered me lifeless for three entire days (while my hubby was out of town, of course). Hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteAs for the roman shade - the ribbon embellishment really gives it that little extra "umph" doesn't it? A nice contrast against the white trim on the window. :-)
Yuck to the sinus infection, those really do knock the life outta ya! Glad to hear you are on the mend!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have a secret love affair with that fabric there...secret because I don't actually have any of it in my home! Those shades turned out amazing...and I love the new trim! I have yet to tackle a window covering project...after seeing this, I think I need to get on it! (c:
I am obsessed with that fabric, and love the curtains you made out of it. And the flowers make me happy :)
ReplyDeleteLove your roman shades, you're right the black trim sets them off beautiful. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYuck, sorry to hear your feeling poopy! I had a sinus infection that took 3 different antibiotics to get rid of...I absolutely LOVE the ribbon on the shade, it looks so much more complete! Nice detailing...
ReplyDeleteLove the trim - definitely a little change that makes a huge improvement.
ReplyDeleteLove that fabric! Hope you feel better very soon!
ReplyDeleteWow! The ribbon makes a huge difference! And the daffodils are so gorgeous and springy!
ReplyDeleteIt is the perfect finishing touch to those beautiful blinds! Love 'em
ReplyDeleteMy mother had a sinus infection too , she told me it was one of the most horrible ilnesses she experienced and that she rather gave birth to a baby again instead of having another sinus infection, go figure...
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, hope you have a less horrible experience.
Good luck and xoxo
Oh and I love what you did with adding the ribbon trim to your curtain, looks even more chic!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Isn't it amazing what little details like ribbon can do? I hope you get to feeling better soon! Sinus infection can be horrible!! Love the yellow flowers, yay spring!
ReplyDeleteThat ribbon did wonders. Looks so polished now.
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate it when you notice mistakes AFTER you've shot your pictures! I can't take a picture in my apartment without finding fault with something.... Sigh.
Feel better!
looks great...feel better.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better! What a difference a little ribbon makes on that shade. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAren't yellow flowers just so refreshing?! I love them.
