Apparently I'm Avant-Garde?

A while ago, I snagged these beauties at a vintage shop. It was love at first sight. Well not really.. I thought about them for a few days then went back and made them mine.

Well. apparently my suspicion of they coolness has been confirmed. While perusing Style at Home's recent issue "100 Best Designer Secrets", I discovered the IDENTICAL bird on page 22, reminding us not to forget about vintage items.

I'm smiling because I saw them first:)

    I would love that bird at first sight, too! It's so vintage looking and whimsical plus I have a love for anything birds.

    Wow! That is such a coincidence. I was watching MTV Cribs the other day and Blake McGrath (sp?) has the same bedroom lamps as me - I was on the edge of my seat, begging him to mention that there is a light in the base, but he didn't. My lamps (and your birds) and celebrities!!

    I love that bird. I saw a flying one - and was so tempted to get it and paint it hot pink on the wall (a la Antonio), but passed... now I wish I would have bought it :)
