Switching Things Up.. Again

Last week, I shared a few pictures of how I updated the radio stand in the dining room.
I was doubting it a bit, thinking that the lamp was too large for the vignette. My suspicions were confirmed when a few people commented about just that. That's best thing about having a blog as a outlet. You get the opinions and support of so many others!
So, I went with my gut and switched it up, again. I love the look of layering different objects, so I tried adding more things. It just seemed too cluttered, so I kept it simple. What do you think? I think the smaller lamp works much better, although, I do lose that pop of color.

Instead, my fun blue lamp is making a statement in the living room!

    I LOVE that silver lamp. It's so cute, and it looks great there. The scale of it is right on! I love the blue lamp against your fun wall!

    I loved it the first time you switched it up, but I'm loving that blue lamp even more in the living room!! Now I can totally see that the blue lamp was a little large for the space :)

    I actually liked both looks, but the blue lamp looks great in the LR. As for the Oscars, I LOVED Mila's purple dress, as well as the 6th (I think) gown Anne Hathaway wore, the red strapless Versace.

    I definitely like the smaller lamp better. The height of the shade of the smaller one doesn't compete with your lovely mirror. I would change out the white penguin for something with a pop of color. Orange?
