I am currently using only the auto function but will need to do some more reading about using in it manually. I hope to take a course in the Fall.
Here are some of my first shots! Beaufort was my subject.. much to his dismay.
"The half smile". I think he was seriously annoyed with me at this point.
There's a smile! Snaggle teeth and all.
The vet thinks he couldn't win a beauty contest with those chompers but I still think he's beautiful:)
Ok, I'll admit it. Distinguished is his best look!
Here is my handsome nephew who came by last night for a visit and a few drinks.
Another guy who doesn't like getting his picture taken.. too bad!
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
Oooh!!! Lucky you to get a new camera! Great shots... Beaufort is way too cute!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I want to take the plunge too, but there are so many other things on the wants/needs list. Why is adult stuff all so expensive!
ReplyDeleteI just bought a Canon T1i also, and so far I really like it! I still need how to learn all the settings, but it does a pretty good job on the auto modes from what I can tell! Have fun! :)
ReplyDeleteOh congrats! You will never put it down. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. I got one last year for Christmas, but had no idea how to use it. I just recently took a class and it makes a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteMy dog now hides when I bring out the camera. I guess he is tired of being my test subject. Have fun with your new toy!
ReplyDeleteMost photographers always use the autofocus, but instead of using the full auto function, switch it to A (aperture) and play around with the settings on there then take pics. The lower the number, the more blurry the background will be (but the ability of how "low" it can get varies by lens). I've taken a few classes, and can't wait to take more! I just got a 35mm prime lens and the pics are amazing!!! It's weird not being able to zoom, but the blurry background is TO DIE FOR
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you and so jealous! ;-) There is just something so amazing about great photos. xo
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and am your newest follower! :)
ReplyDeleteYour baby is sooooooo Cute!!
ReplyDeleteI just sent you an email.

Well your automatic photos look better than any photo I've ever taken. Can't wait to see what fabulousness you are capable of after the course.
ReplyDeleteYAY! Cannon love! I got one two years ago and have been in love ever since. It's hard not to look like a dorky tourist walking around everywhere with it wrapped around your neck. But with a baby in tow, I think everyone just considers me a mama-razzi. :) ENJOY YOUR NEW TOY!
ReplyDeleteThey are both cute!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is on my favorites list since now, I love it! =D Your pictures are great!

great shots!! I can't believe you got him to hold still. I have the hardest time getting a good pic of Bailey.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable dog! I really need a new camera too, I will keep this one in mind!
ReplyDeleteHow are you liking your camera now? (Btw, I love your blog and read it from time to time.)
ReplyDeleteMy canon powershot is slowly dying, so I'm looking into an upgrade by the end of the year. I'm definitely sticking with canon, so your input on your camera would be appreciated.
Your pooch is stinking adorable too. As is your handsome newphew. ;)
