My Home "Office"

I don't know why this room is called "the office" It's actually more of a craft room, since it's where I keep all my fabric, paints, paper, crafting supplies etc.
It doesn't even have a desk. What kind of office doesn't have a desk? Mine:) I really should find myself one. A white one of course! A glossy white one - like the Parson's Desk from West Elm. I usually end up sitting on the floor, making a mess around me with whatever project I've got on the go.
Whatever the room is, I kinda like it. It has more color packed into it than the rest of the house combined. And it has a comfy couch to lay on when you are procrastinating or searching for inspiration!
What do you think?

It really needs a desk, doesn't it? Id love to hear your suggestions! It can be too big since the room is not very large.

DIY: Inspiration Board

I love bulletin/inspiration boards. I wanted to make a small one for my "office". I use the word office sparingly, because it doesn't have a desk in it. But that's supposed to be the purpose of the room, so we'll just go with it!
I picked up this old frame at Coulson's one day.

I knew I could use it for something and decided it would make a great bulletin board. It's not rocket science, but I'm telling you how to make one anyway!

1. Prime and paint your frame. I gave mine a coat of Kilz primer spray paint, then a couple of coats of white spray paint.

Notice the green grass? I did this way back in the summer. I hung the finished frame on the wall among some other prints, as part of a gallery wall, with nothing in it. It stayed like that for a while...

2. Cut a piece of foam core to fit inside the frame. Using a utility knife works best!

3. Cover the foam core with cotton batting. Staple in place using 1/4 inch staples.

4. Choose a fabric and  iron really well.
5. Wrap fabric around the foam core and batting. Staple in place using 1/4 in staples.

6. Staple your fabric covered board to the frame!

7. Hang on the wall and admire your handiwork :)

8. Fill it with things that inspire you. I use straight pins with pearl heads.

There you go! Easy-peasy!
