Long story short, my friend Mark has been given the exciting and well deserved opportunity to pursue a dream in Toronto. Therefore, he is leaving the island and his sweet little home. In order to prep his home for sale, he wanted to give it a fresh coat of paint. I suggested one of my favorites - BM Chantilly Lace. He took my advice and painted the entire house. Yup. The whole thing.
On Sunday, I headed over to help him style it and take some photos for the listing. It felt so fresh and bright with the warm sun streaming in the windows. Let's be clear.. this guy has great taste and dislikes clutter so it was easy to style by simply adding a few simple flower arrangements and moving a few things around! I really can't take much credit!
It looks so great that it may be hard for him to leave it behind! However, I know great things are in store for him and that someone or some family will be lucky to call his place home.
Here is a look at his stylish abode.
Just look at how sweet the house is on the outside!
And the cozy outdoor space?
Isn't it great? Someone needs to snatch it up! So now, let's go back to the whole point of this post. Never underestimate the power of white paint. Or any paint for that matter! It has the ability to dramatically change the feel of a space. The whole energy of the home feels airy, fresh and uncluttered. What's not to love about that?
I can't hold out any longer. Keep the above photos fresh in your mind and check out how much it's changed since when he first moved in! It's different to say the least...

Crazy! Get out your paint brushes! A lick of paint can make all the difference!
Thanks for letting me share Mark. Best of luck selling your home and with your new adventure. We are losing a good one!
Wow! Mark's home looks AMAZING. What a transformation. I love white walls and have a feeling my "someday" home will be coated in white too ;)
ReplyDeleteI bet you he doesn't have dogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. If I had to do it all over again, I would paint my entire house white. We are on the market and it seems daunting to repaint since it was not very long ago that the entire house got a fresh coat. I may just repaint the bathroom this afternoon now though. His house looks amazing. I'm sure it won't be on the market long. What great Before and After shots. The colors in the before photos were horrendous.
ReplyDeleteWhat, he didn't like the deep red carpet? Haha, I especially love all the white with the light floors - and the painted white floors. I sometimes wish that we had just painted the old hardwood upstairs instead of installing new. Ah well, I tell myself that it would have been impossible to keep clean ;)
ReplyDeleteWow - looks amazing! I'm sure it will be hard for him to leave his place.
ReplyDeleteI am officially in love with his house. Almost makes me want to drop everything and move to P.E.I. just to live in it. Sigh. Well, a girl can dream! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous house!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm all about colour but this may have changed my mind. Stunning! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a crisp & clean house! Love all the white! And what a transformation from where it had been!
ReplyDeleteNo way! The before pictures make it look like a totally different house. It's amazing the way the kitchen changed! The exterior is also beautiful. That house will go in a second!
ReplyDeleteawesome transformation!
ReplyDeleteblack and white, i really like it! :D
WOW! I would like to buy that house! I love it... super simple, clean and fresh! Sometimes I wish I had whit walls, but little boys would make that impossible! Great job styling!
ReplyDeleteWhat a transformation! Impressive. Fingers crossed someone snatches up the house quick!
ReplyDeleteThat is a dramatic transformation, what an impact the white paint made! He clearly has great taste, I bet his charming home will be sold in no time!
