It's a tough call, as much of it depends on the light in the space, but here are my favorite grey paint colors in some great spaces.
Benjamin Moore ~ Stonington Grey
Almost white but perfect. Benjamin Moore ~ Classic Grey

Behr ~ Dolphin Fin
Para Paints ~ Cashmere. This may the winner in my next project.
Para generously gave me 4 gallons of paint to use in a project and I'm anxious to use it!
Sorry, no inspiration photo:)
Hoping the sun comes out today. It's been a dull of week. Maybe that's why both post this week are about grey!
I adore greys too! We had our house repainted in the summer and the 'grey' we picked and sampled on our walls turned out more lavender when they were done. I had to have it redone in a grey-blue but it matches our decor so much better now!
ReplyDeletelove love love grey. I chose Shoreline from Sarah Richardson for our living room. I love it, my husband loves it. I think it is the perfect combination of grey and beige. I also used Pebble from her line for a friend's guest room, but shoreline is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love Stonington Gray! I've used it on furniture, I actually tried a sample on my wall for my room but it looks much darker on my wall then on furniture. I think I'm going to use
ReplyDeleteWickham Gray.
I'm obsessed with gray paint! My husband keeps asking me if our whole house is going to be gray - these are some great ones to add to the list ha
ReplyDeleteAll of those rooms are such inspiring spaces! It's funny how each gray works perfectly in the space.
ReplyDeleteI have paint swatches all over the walls deciding what color to choose....now I might need to add a few more!
ReplyDeleteI want someone to send me paint! I love the "Perfect Taupe" from Behr's primer and paint in one collection. Warm but still cool grey!
ReplyDeleteTiffany
Those are great suggestions. Grey rooms, no matter the shade, always look so chic, don't they?
ReplyDeleteP.S. Today is my first blogiversary (yay!) and I'm hosting my first-ever giveaway (and it is handmade!):

I'm actually trying to convince a friend of mine to paint her hallway grey. Right now it is very much a "builder's grade" beige. I did a post on her hallway yesterday -- do you think grey would be good here or maybe something a little warmer? http://wp.me/p1ztuD-8Q
ReplyDeletelovely pictures-- just used BM classic grey in a project and it looks beautiful! Definitely a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteLucky you getting free paint!!
ReplyDeleteI just used Dolphin Fin on a dresser, made my own chalk paint! Love all these greys! Have fun painting! :)
ReplyDeleteI've used that Stonington a lot. That cashmere sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteI have used Stonington gray in two of my kids' rooms. But is really has a blue undertone. I too have some free paint from Para - but Para dealers are far and few between here in Vancouver! I was thinking a grey for my hallways!
ReplyDeleteI just painted my entire main floor in Stonington Grey and as I told a friend yesterday it should be called Stonington Blue. I have tons of windows so lots of natural light that pulls out that blue undertone. It would be great in a darker space.
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! I love your inspiration photos! I've always wanted to do my living room in a deeper gray and pair it with my antique Louix XV gold ornate mirror; I love the contrast of gold/silver.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gray paint is one I saw in a photo on HGTV from a show called, "Sarah's House". She used it in a foyer and it looks amazing with the white woodwork. Perfection! It's in one of the first episodes or homes rather that she did for the series, if I recall. The paint is by ICI however I am not sure of the color.
I admire people that take on more risky colors in their home. I show a post once of a person that painted some of their rooms dark purple. It looked great but could of came out really bad if they weren't careful about which rooms to paint purple. Pink is another risky but very pretty color if picked for the right room.
