Fall Mantel.

I went bright and colorful with my fall porch this year but decided to go soft indoors. I started it with little bright orange pumpkins and I just couldn't commit to them. Sometimes color scares me! So the result is soft and mostly white. Who woulda thought:)?

The frame on the left is my favorite part. I snapped that photo last year when we went to Quebec City. I left the pumpkins orange and switched the rest to black and white. (There! I did use some orange!)
It was my favorite photo of the trip so I'm glad to have it out on display!

The branches are off the huge and gorgeous burning bush tree in my parent's front yard.
They add a small pop of color. The milk glass vases were $1 Coulson's finds.
I knew they'd come in handy!

I love the mantel at night with candles lit. It suits this time of year, especially with the cold, wet weather we had all weekend. Perfect for snuggling in on the couch.
I'd love to add a wreath on the mirror but I have a hard time finding wreathes that I like and don't have the time lately to diy one, although there are lots of great tutorials out there! A banner would be nice too. But, hey, I'm a simple girl and I like it just how it is!

Also, I was thrilled to have the white kitchen floors included in the BOTB roundup over at Centsational Girl yesterday! Be sure to head over and check out the rest of the featured projects. I huge welcome to my new followers who came over from there. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Funny--I was thinking the same thing--no color is what's attracting my attention this year. I'm all about the unpredictable. Love the simplicity of your mantle:)

  3. I love the all white. I saw a white pumpkin at Lowes yesterday and almost grabbed it. I'm loving the fall neutrals.

  4. Exactly how I like it. I am having a hard time with the typical fall colors this year. If I had a mantel, this would be it!

  6. What a gorgeous fall mantle. Everytime I see a painted white fireplace I get ideas but the husband is adamant we keep it as is.
