Chin Chin!

I've been furiously trying to catch up on my Mad Men episodes which has inspired me to do something with my thrifted bar cart. (* side note.. Is is possible to both hate and love Don Draper at the same time?)


I'm not a frequent drinker and I certainly don't have a liquor collection that demands to be showcased. There is just something glamourous and grown-up about having a bar cart on hand.. ready to be wheeled out for your guests!

    I've always liked the idea of a bar cart. They definitely can add a touch of sophistication.

    It's absolutely possible to both love and hate Don Draper at the same time :) I'm so bummed that there won't be new episodes in 2011. I love your thrifted cart - with three shelves, you can have 1 for liquor, 1 for glasses and another for a pretty vignette!

    Im with you! Im not a heavy drinker, my husband will have a glass of brandy ever so often (he thinks he's humphrey bogart LOL) but I do collect vintage decanters and glam glasses! Id been looking for a bar cart FOREVER and got lucky a few weeks ago at the thrift store and finally was able to bring one home! and I mean it is FABULOUS!!! It adds a touch of elegance to our eclectic living room! I adore it!

    I don't drink but I too love the look of a bar cart. These photos are inspiring! Hmm...ya think showcasing lemonade would have the same effect?!

    For lack of a better place to stash our liquor we use a bar cart and I love it. It does add a touch of grown up-ness to the room. I also love/hate DD

    I think it would add a lot of glam to your living room. No need for alcohol, though. You can add other things, lemonade and much more. I think you should definitely add it to your living room.

    Don Draper...Don Draper....that man. It's like he needs to be saved by a good woman. Lol just kidding...sorta
    As for the bar cart...I am totally in love with this new one from Pottery Barn. It's rattan maybe? Your cart could totally channel Made Men though!
    oh..and I'm personally freaked out by the cat fur art in the first inspiration pic.

    I don't drink, but I do love a good bar cart. I would probably just have some fun sparkling lemonade or some pretty tea cups. I love them though, and yours is so awesome...what a find!

    I love Mad Men and since I.ve been religiously watching it since season one I can confirm Don uses his Morning, Noon and Night! I don/t drink much but I know what you mean about it looking very sophistocated. The alternative would be a small round tray on top of a buffet table. For me it would be a bad use of space. But yes, it is quite glam

    I'm so jealous of your bar cart!!! I want one, but I think it might be a bad idea in my house (I can just imagine my kids getting into it... yikes.) Anyways... I'm SO with you on Don Draper! Love him, wait... kind of hate him... wait, love him again. I totally hate Betty, though. I'm only a few episodes into season 4, so maybe I'll change my mind on that... ???
