Apartment Therapy Feature.

Pretty excited over here about two big features this week! First of all, the white painted floors were included in the BOTB over at Centsational Girl. Thanks Kate and Amanda!


And yesterday, the floors were featured at Apartment Therapy. It was a nice surprise! Although in typical Apartment Therapy style, the comments were a little harsh. People don't generally love the idea of painted wood:) In this case though, the floors were not salvageable! I swear! You can check out the post here.

    the floors are FABULOUS! some people just get their kicks from leaving negative feedback, but those people are just unhappy in their own lives usually. so just be happy and enjoy your awesome floors!

    Wow, that's awesome! Don't let the comments get to you. It truly is a preference when it comes to painted wood but a rude comment is never worth a second thought. I think the floors look fabulous!

    Ah yes Apartment Threapy commentators are harsh critics... They hate my bed as well!

    I think the floors look fab! Thinking about doing something like this in my house as well.

    Whoo hoo! Congratulations on the features Jane! That makeover deserved all this recognition and more. I love how the floors turned out and hope you let those harsh comments slide right off your back. Our kitchen and dining room were both on AT and had a definite mix of good and bad feedback. :)

    I love your kitchen! (Although I am partial to painted white wood floors, having done the same treatment to my bedroom when I was 16 and we moved into an 80 year old house).

    Also, ignore the comments on AT. I think some of the people there live for putting others down. Our house was featured in a color contest and we made it to the semi-finals. The comments on that round were BRUTAL. I was filled with a ton of self-doubt but then I looked around my house and thought, "this is perfect for us; it doesn't need to be perfect for them." If you love it, that's all that matters.

    congrats! and i don't get the whole harsh criticism thing either. i love the site, just don't get the intense reaction people have and why they all congregate there.
