I think a taller curtain will frame your window beautifully. Speaking of the window - we have one in our bath too (we just moved in this house a few months ago and converted the tub into a shower/tub). I read how you sealed yours and are going to tile around it, will you have any wood around it at all? We've been kicking ideas around how we want to deal with ours, and I'd really like to not have to move the shower to the other wall to avoid the window. Your bathroom is looking fabulous! anyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13038998087428155219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6489769312853218212.post-46885186621711484792014-01-17T20:23:36.332-04:002014-01-17T20:23:36.332-04:00I love a longer shower curtain as well but couldn&...I love a longer shower curtain as well but couldn't find it. Instead, I purchased two curtain panels with bronze grommets at the top and used a bronze tension rod. I installed a second tension rod for the inner shower curtain liner. I think it looks great. Ironically, I just posted pictures of my bathroom on my blog this week so you can check it out if you like (www.dreammom.blogspot.com). I moved into a townhome that had been totally redone and I couldn't fathom adding a short 72 inch shower curtain to the beautiful travertine tile. I chose a tan linen like drapery panel that has a little shimmer in it and it matches beautifully . Very elegant. I searched high and low on the internet for longer shower curtains but couldn't find any. I think using any white curtain panel in the longer lengths will work fine as long as you measure. The curtain panel I chose was the Alton grommet top panel-it was 54 wide x 84 long and the color of the curtain panel was tan. They come in longer lengths however I wanted to leave a little area open on the top to show off the travertine tile. Good luck.Dream Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18351348027973964625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6489769312853218212.post-34485160206123115182014-01-17T14:46:17.861-04:002014-01-17T14:46:17.861-04:00I love longer shower curtains and we used a curtai...I love longer shower curtains and we used a curtain panel for ours. You can buy a premade one from ikea or even just use a length of fabric that you love! If one width of fabric isn't wide enough, maybe you can do two panels on either side? Super long, already hemmed, and luxuriously thick in folds since there's so much fabric with two. It was also really inexpensive and they can be washed easily. I got the liner from Bed Bath & Beyond and ended up getting the charcoal Ritva curtain panel from IKEA (we have the white ones in our bedroom) and had it hemmed to the 84". Then I just used the clip rings from IKEA to attach the curtain to the rod. Cheapest option I could think of. (I think the panels are $25 for 2). That's what we ended up doing. One downside that is a bit annoying--the rings of the clip rings aren't super wide, so it isn't super smooth when you pull the curtain closed. Not a big deal for my giant of a husband since he's right there to adjust it. More annoying for me since I'm obvs shorter.
